Mobile Chair Massages

Chair Massage is an on-site, fully-clothed, upper body massage in a portable massage chair usually lasting 5, 10, 15, or 30 minute increments. It is a great way to attract crowds at marketing events, encourage self-care at health fairs, boost employee morale through employee appreciation, or even treat friends and family pre/post bridal events. Chair Massage helps relieve fatigue and chronic conditions, such as tension headaches, carpal tunnel, and backaches.

Chair Massage FAQ’s?

How far in advance should I reserve my chair massage therapist(s)?

We can accommodate bookings several days to a week in advance, however, more notice is preferred. For jobs requiring three or more therapists, please allow 2-3 weeks if possible.

How many chair massage therapists do I need to hire?

An average of 4-5 people per hour, per therapist is ideal. This allows for a solid 10 minutes of hands-on time per person, and a few minutes in between for the therapist to prepare the chair for the next person. If you have more than 15 people or a limited amount of time we can schedule two or more chair massage therapists. If you are looking to control costs and optimize your therapists’ time we can accommodate 8-9 people per hour at 5 minute massages per person. This is ideal for a larger groups with a limited time frame.

What do I need to do to prepare?

All you need to do is designate a clear space for the massage therapist to set up their chair and cleaning/re-dress supplies and supply a copy of the sign-up list if you decide to schedule in advance. (see below for more info)

How does it work once the therapist is on site?

Our therapist will bring everything that is required to perform chair massage for the number of people you have estimated for us. Privacy screens and tent can be provided by request only.
Therapists can take in clients on a first come, first serve basis or time slots can be scheduled in advance. If you decide to schedule in 10 minute increments please keep in mind that actual hands on time will be around 8 minutes in order to stay on schedule. We recommend scheduling 12-15 minute blocks if you’d prefer 10 minutes of hands on massage.

Will the therapists need breaks?

For shifts 4 hours or less, please plan for therapists to have at least one 15 min break to hydrate/use the restroom. If the therapist has down time between clients, an extended break is generally not necessary.
For shifts lasting more than around 4 hours, we may factor in a 30-60 minute unpaid break.

Should I tip?

Tips are appreciated but certainly not required. You are welcome to add tips either as part of your invoice or in cash.
